Atlanta Marlins Loses Despite Out Hitting Giants

Even though Atlanta Marlins collected seven hits to Giants's four, they still fell 5-4 on Wednesday. Valentine and LaFratta each collected two hits for Atlanta Marlins.

Atlanta Marlins was right in it until Giants doubled in the seventh inning.

Giants got on the board in the third inning after Welkis scored after tagging up.

Valentine doubled, which helped Atlanta Marlins tie the game at one in the bottom of the fourth.

Atlanta Marlins captured the lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the fifth after Akins doubled, and Drymalski singled, each scoring one run.

Giants made the score 5-4 in the top of the seventh after Solomon drew a walk, scoring one run, and Wesolowski doubled, scoring two runs.

Drymalski started the game for Atlanta Marlins. The starting pitcher allowed two hits and one run over three and two-thirds innings, striking out seven and walking four.

Akins, Valentine, and Drymalski each drove in one run for Atlanta Marlins. Wesolowski, the number seven hitter for Giants, led the way with three runs batted in. Hernandez, Solomon, Welkis, and Wesolowski each collected one hit for Giants. Giants had patience at the plate, tallying nine walks for the game. Solomon and Stoudt led the team with two bases on balls each. Giants turned one double play in the game.
