Despite leading by as many as four runs, Atlanta Marlins fell to Giants 8-6 on Wednesday.

Atlanta Marlins opened the scoring in the second after an error scored one run.

Atlanta Marlins added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Swan singled, Watry doubled, and McSherry doubled, each scoring one run.

Hernandez hit a solo home run to center field in the bottom of the fourth for the Giants.

Giants flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the sixth, scoring five runs on four hits to take the lead, 8-4. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Solomon following a 6-pitch at-bat that drove in one.

Fricks homered to right field, scoring two runs in the top of the seventh for the Atlanta Marlins.

Becker stepped on the mound first for Atlanta Marlins. The righty gave up seven hits and eight runs (three earned) over five and two-thirds innings, striking out nine and walking three.

Fricks led Atlanta Marlins with two runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. McSherry, Becker, Martens, Akins, Swan, Watry, Bettis, and Fricks each collected one hit for Atlanta Marlins. Atlanta Marlins turned one double play in the game.

Hernandez and Lebder each collected two hits for Giants. Hernandez, Solomon, Wesolowski, and Tidwell each drove in one run for Giants.
