Atlanta Marlins fell to Pirates 4-3 on Thursday on the final play of the game. The game was tied at three in the bottom of the tenth when Willy singled, scoring one run.

Becker struck out 17 batters on the day. The starter also allowed 11 hits and three runs over nine and one-third innings while walking four.

Pirates opened the scoring in the second after a passed ball scored one run.

In the top of the fifth inning, Atlanta Marlins went back into the lead after Becker homered, and Miller doubled, each scoring one run.

A single by Cam gave Pirates the lead, 3-2, in the bottom of the fifth.

Fricks singled, which helped Atlanta Marlins tie the game at three in the top of the sixth.

LaFratta led Atlanta Marlins with two hits in four at bats. Becker, Fricks, and Miller each drove in one run for Atlanta Marlins.

Pirates piled up 11 hits in the game. Jeremy, Willy, Todd, and Brian each collected two hits for Pirates. Cam went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Pirates turned one double play in the game.
